Global Adventurer, Intrapreneur & Cross-Cultural Leader

Matt’s international life began in the public schools of Vienna, Austria, where he learned German before he could fully spell “Kindergarten” in English. He took his first flight in 1970, and he's since flown in everything from a Russian Tupolev to a Single Otter seaplane. Over the decades, Matt has explored 77 countries across four continents.
Matt spent three years living and working across the UK and Germany, where he opened offices, demoed software, and negotiated deals in German. As the Executive Director of Interaction International, he delivered cross-cultural training and consulting in over 60 countries, empowering Third Culture Kids, global executives, and State Department families to thrive in transition.
He’s also the founder of a global magazine for TCKs still in print 20 years later and has one final bucket list item: to trace the legendary Shackleton voyage to Antarctica.
